it's been almost 3 years since I last posted in this forum. I sold my 2001 996 C4 back in may 2007 and have not posted since. I am looking into buying a newer porsche 911 but needs the experts help. I have look into pre-owned 2009 C2S with decent options. look into 2007 turbo and GT3's as well especially mileage mid-20000s, reasoning is the prices of this 3 models are almost the same ( probably $5000 difference per e-bay prices ).Please help me make a decision. should I go for newer 2009 C2S( low mileage) or go for 2007 turbo or GT3?

GT3 all the way. Drive a Turbo, then the GT3. You will understand.

My next one will be a GT3. I did drive the GT3 RS Last fall, It was an incredible ride, it whaled the snot out of my buddies 996 turbo. But, if you prefer a more luxurious ride go with the turbo.

NA all the way.

IMHO

GT3!

I have an 06 997S and have driven an 09 997S and the 07 GT3.. The GT3 wins hands down.clapping.gif No question about it as long as you can deal with the stiffer suspension of the GT3..

The GT3 Power and handling are freakin amazing.

I have not driven the Turbo but I know it must be awesome as well.

Will be replacing my 997 S with a GT3 next year.

Good luck with whatever you decide. You will not be dissapointed with whatever you choose that's for sure..

I will be test driving the '09 C2S next week so I will be a ble to really see and feel its ride. Although I have been spoiled withe options I have been using in my Benz like the nav, and nice ride of Merc., so I am looking at this C2S with this options. The '07 GT3 that I saw for the same price does not come with this options( basic CD) but I guess if I am driving the GT3 I would not caring for music or where I end up, just listening the sound coming from the engine and exhaust will be music to anyone's ears.

I have been reading about oil consumption especially on the new 3.8L DFI engines. Is it really a concern?
