Power Windows - Comfort Function

Recommended Posts

On page 28 of the owners manual the process of using the ignition key inserted into the door lock to open (or close) the windows is described, but not all that well...

I have tried to get this to work but so far nothing, but maybe I misunderstood how this is supposed to work?

Is there a setting in the computer that has to be enabled by the dealer for this to function?

Thanks!

Yes there is ... however from the 2005 model Porsche disabled this and indeed the remote control version.

You maybe able to get your dealer to re-enable this for you.

Thanks, I thought that I recalled it working on MY2003... Next I am near the dealer I'll stop in and check on this.

I coded the comfort opening and closing, and one-touch features on my nephew's 997.1, with the PIWIS (UK model).  Unless the feature is disabled on US cars for some legal reason, I cannot see why it could not be done by a dealer.  (Or someone else with a PIWIS).  It is coded in the door control module.

Good thing I'm in Canada then! tongue.gif

US cars parts as control boxes, door locks, remote controls, etc which are directly connected to radio frequencies (Hz) are different than ROW cars, i don't know for sure if it will work, but you can try.
