E-brake light

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all. So, yesterday my e-brake light just decided to start acting up. I'm not sure if it's the cluster lights altogether because my windshield wiper fluid light goes on and off, I know it's empty but sometimes it won't be lit, sometimes it will. Any suggestions? Fuse maybe? I can fenagle the e-brake to a very small sweet spot where the light will come on so I can lower the roof, but it's just such a pain.

Pretty simple - but it will take a little extra work.

The switch is on the handbrake lever. To get to the the switch you will need to remove the center console (a good chance to find all those lost coins).

Removing the center console has been described here many times and the the B&M shirt shifter instructions even have a pictorial step-by-step.

Expect it to take about 1 hour with removal and replacement of the console and any cleaning.

Pk2, I know what the problem with the windshield wiper fluid is, I just need to figure out how to secure it. The hose in the wheel well that's covered by the plastic liner fell off, I think I need to get a screw clamp or something to keep it on there, already put it on once and it fell off again.

Loren, I think my car is screwing with me. I took it for a drive tonight and the e-brake light worked just fine for when I wanted to drop my top. I think when I get back from vacation I might just put in a B&M short throw and replace that microswitch at the same time.
