Part Number ? Indicator light bulb holder

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the part number for the front direction indicator light bulb holder for a 2001 996. I've check the catalogue information and it doesn't seem to list anything for the holder. It looks like a part that could be seperated from the main headlight assembly so I'm sure it is a part that could be bought seperately.

Sorry to reopen this old thread, but I also need this part for my 99.

Dealer is clueless as it doesn't appear on the parts catalogue, wants to sell me the part from a 2002- which won't fit of course.

Can anyone shed any light on this part. I could re-build my old one (it rusted out) but i'd rather fit a new one.

The dealer has confirmed that this part (the bulb holder) is NOT available as a separate part, you have to buy the entire headlight assembly, which they kindly offered to me at a discounted price of $1,000!

Needless to say I declined the offer!

The bulb holder is available as a separate part for 2002 onward cars (costs about $36!) but is unfortunately not backward compatible.
