Rammi if you wont buy it please send me a PM i will buy it for the engine.

i am a lebanese too and i need a used engine for a 996 as i was just ripped off by a local mechanic :(

ahlan b kil el libneniye....

Rammi the car has a saudi license plate, and looks like it's been sitting in the dessert for a while, i can't see how a car with Saudi license plate could stay in lebanon for 3 years without moving, the lebanese customs rules are that you have to take the car out of the country every 6 months. and the car can stay a maximum of 2 years then it has to have it's Trip ticket renewed.

if you're interested in porsche wrecks like the one in the attached pictures, there's a lot here in dubai and i work with a lot of people who can assess the extent of the damage...

Hi Nehme,

The car is in saudi arabia. i work in saudi arabia, i travel once a month to lebanon. Don't be afraid of the sand. It is not a problem. The air is so packed with sand I have to wash my car every other day here!

I am getting this car, will fix first the mechanic part, then will do the 997 conversion.

cheers

i was never worried about the sand, i live in the desert too and i also have to wash my car almost everyday...

just trying to verify if your initial story is true... anyways looks like you got a lot of cash and patience on hand to spend on this baby...

Goodluck and send us some pictures of the repair process... with a costing list if possible to keep track of it ;)

This Porsche is fixable here in Saudi, if you can get it for 20k SAR add another 10-15k SAR in repairs (which is my estimate based on the prices of our local workshops) it would be a good price.

However you should compile a list of what parts are needed and check their prices at the dealership as it is very rare to find 996 donors here in Saudi.

Best of luck..

My friend there is no way you can fix the car for 15,000 SAR (Approx $4,087)... go online, check how much the parts cost, a basic headlamp will set you back $630....
