Jimmy:

To get the lights to lock, you have to proceed as follows:

Since you removed the regular lights first, and now with the lights out of the car, make sure that the unlocking spindle was not moved (rotated) towards the back and that it starts out so that the right angle handle on the tool is horizontal and pointing towards the front.

Then rotate the handle on the tool downwards and slightly towards the rear so that the handle is now pointing straight down.

Now re-insert your new headlight into the guides and AT THE SAME TIME that you are pushing the headlight firmly to the rear, turn the handle of the tool until it is horizontal and ends up now pointing to the rear.

If you are doing it properly, you will hear a loud thwack, which confirms that it is locked securely in place.

Regards, Maurice.
