I'm trying to find a good set of roof rails for my '06 Turbo and was wondering of anyone had purchased any of the non-OEM rails from the plethora available on EBay. And, if they had, what the quality of then is like. I'd prefer used OEM rails, but they seem hard to find... Thanks.

I have a brand new set in the box never used for my '09. I will check and see if they are the same as those for the '06 if you are interested.

I believe that the Porsche part number for both model years is 955 044 000 30, so they should be the same. Please send me a PM so we can discuss price.Thanks.

I purchased a set from eBay, and they turned out to be cheaply-made knockoffs from China. I managed to return them and get my money back. (Of course, it was an expensive lesson due to the cost for shipping both ways.)

I ended up getting a new set of Porsche OEM rails for $200 at the Porsche Swap Meet at Hershey PA. The dealer had a few sets, and he said they had some minor nicks or scratches. I looked closely, and they were indeed minor issues. What a deal! So...my lesson though...don't buy non-OEM RAILS...shop around until you find a good set at a good price.
