Hi, I have a 2002 996tt. I've tried to set the seat position via the memory buttons. I tried according to the instruction - turn ignition to ON, move the seat to the desired position, and press M and 1 simultaneously. I repeat these steps for the 'key' button memory (for the remote control key) as well. But, everytime I exit the car and re-enter with the remote control key button, it simply reverts back to its previous (not the new) position! I've done this several times and even tried to press 'key' and '2' to reset all memory and it still goes back to the previous position! Drives me nuts! Any ideas??

Thanks!

d.

d,

I had a similar problem once and in the computer key number one and key number two must have gotten swapped (from primary and secondary) - I pulled out the other key for the car set the postion of the seat per instructions and wah-lah - all is well.

Might try that.

Thanks. But I don't think they are misplaced (or swapped). They worked once, which is why it remembered my original position. Subsequently when I tried to enter new seating position, the new memory just won't stick, it kept going back to the original position when I use the remote control to unlock the car...
