98 Boxster - Replaced bad window motor on drivers side and still no power to window. Checked fuses, all ok. Have taken it to two shops and they can't figure it out. They say it is some sort of electrical connection. Help! My top won't work either since the window won't work.

There have been problems reported with corrosion INSIDE the rubber boot that covers the wires that run from the body to the door, near the upper door hinge, and they have resulted in the symptoms that you describe.

Pull that rubber boot off and carefully inspect the wires and connectors there for corrosion or moisture.
