Taking off the cupholders !

Recommended Posts

Because I don't need the cupholders in the dash of my Boxter 2001, I'm looking to take it off and to replace it by some gauges as Oil pressure gauge and some others. How to take if off without breaking the console and where to take a plastic door to install the gauges ?

Thanks

P.D. :)

Funny, this guy just put in the 2001 style cup holders.  http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3743

Move your a/c display up to where the cup holders use to be, and make a plastic plate like this.  The guy was selling them on ebay but I have not seen them for a long time.

Many thanks and you have the right picture about what I'm thinking to do but tell me, why do I have to move the AC elsewhere ? Can't I install those gauges directly at the palce of the cupholders ?
