:welcome:

I had 76 S also - great car!

On my car I had to clean he tracks on the sunroof every year to keep it operating smoothly. I also used a light coating of silicone spray followed by wiping all the excess off.

While you are there check the tracks and slides for excessive wear or binding.

If everything is clean and smooth then you might just end up replacing the motor. Good Luck!

Thanks Loren. Everything is clean as the car was just repainted and the sunroof reassembled. I'm wondering if the plastic "lifts" that appear to hit the raised "buttons" need to be replaced. Do you recall if that was an area of concern? Thanks again.

The motor and cables seem good since the sunroof opens and closes under power, but the rear does not lift into a fully closed position. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Have you opened it up & had a look?? Tried adjusting the height or checked condition of the cable ends.Remember,no operations of the roof above 100 km (62mph) or the old plastic ends can be damaged.

Howard
