Interior lamps inop

Recommended Posts

I have an 02 C2 cab tiptronic (bought one week ago). The issue is that the interior lamps (dome, door, glove box, console) only work if the key is on. Interior lamps do not turn on when the remote is used to unlock the doors. Ignition switch/lock assy replaced due to binding (issue existed priot to replacement).

Central locking, remote lock-unlock, remote top open/close, all work fine. Alarm arms/disarms fine. There is no voltage to any of the lights or light switches unless the key is on.

All fuses are good, accessed alarm module and checked power and grounds ckts. Red/grn-OK, red/brn-OK, Red/blk- 0 volts unless key is in run position then battery voltage. 15 amp module fuse is good. Grounds all less than 1 ohm.

I don't have a Durametric yet so no way to pull codes. Any thoughts anyone?

The control box has come back in pre delivery mode, you need a PIWIS Porsche diagnostic tool to normalize the programming. Let them run a " New Car Handover " and everything is OK.

I'll give that a try, thanks for the info.
