2005 997 instrument cluster replacement

Neither of those will work.

Sorry this is not a simple swap.

You will need a cluster from a 2005 to 2008 997-1. And it will need to have the same type transmission as your car. With or without SportChrono.

It will also need to be re-programmed with a PIWIS tester.

Loren,

I thought that would be the answer, especially with the 2009 console. I wa hoping that the 2007 turbo console would work (same tranny), as I assumed the electrical platform is the same as the 2005-2008 997-1, and the gauge layout is identical (unless there is a software boost pressure gauge tha appears on the LCD display).

Are you pretty certain the 2007 tt cluster won't work, or is it worth a try? I do understand the need for reprogramming when replacing the console.

Thanks again for your sage advice!

Hi there,

I have a 2005 Cluster that I removed from my Carrera 2S. (6 speed).

My car was imported into Australia from the UK, hence I needed to swap the cluster from MPH to a cluster in KM / Hr.

Let me know if your interested
