I need to replace the faulty amp in my 2004 Cayenne S (headunit is CDR23, not a PCM). The model # on my amp is 7L5.035.456B. The dealership wants $1600CDN for a new one but I've seen a couple of used amps with model # 7L5.035.456D for much less online. Does anyone know if the .456D could be used as a replacement for my .456B?

Thanks

Thanks Loren,

Are there other part numbers that are compatible for my vehicle or do I need to find the exact match of #955-645-901-04. I've seen ones listed that state they are for an 04 Cayenne S with part number 997.645.334.33. Thanks again.

Cayenne is not on the "where used" list for 997.645.334.33

There were a couple of TSBs on amp issues and they recommend the newest part number only 955-645-901-04.

Since I see no way to PM you.. this has to get posted (which means someone else looking for the amp might well snag it from under you..)

I know nothing about it, I don't know the seller (except he has a boat load of '05 turbo parts for sale.. sounds like he's disassembling one)..

Certainly to me it would be worth the gamble.. same subassembly # as you were looking for - but a later letter suffixe - which usually means same item, later production (usually with some fixes from the earlier letter..)

Good luck!
