matching 40th anniv wheel center cap?

Recommended Posts

I would like to replace the centercaps on my 40th anniv so that they can have a silver badge. The finish on theses wheels is unique. Has anyone else replaced their center caps and matched the finish?

Ralph booth is recommending polished chrome, yet he admits he has never actually seeing them on this particular wheel. He does great work, but I don't think that is the right answer. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a closer match?

I wanted to accomplish the same thing on my 40th anniversary. The matte plastic center caps just does not look right on the polished rim. The closest cap that I could find was the one Porsche made for the 2000 996 Millenium Edition. It was also a polished rim and comes very close to matching. I found mine at Wheel Enhancement in Culver City, CA.
