Still working on my new to me 1999 Carrera cabriolet

While replacing my tip buttons I think I may have unplugged and or plugged in the steering airbag with the battery connected. I don't know if this caused it but now my airbag light is on. Everything was golden before I took it apart.

Since the horn got overly sensitive during the process I used the "o" ring repair from this forum to get it to behave but as I said now the air bag light is on. Anyone have any suggestions on this one? I want to avid the high dealer repair if at all possible. Can they be shut off like a cel?
