Have a 2008 C2S and would like to know sources for black front wire mesh grilles. Saw some today and the car had them covering not only the radiator openings on each side but also the center section. If anyone has them, does the front bumper or any part/s underneath the front stock bumper have to be removed in order to install them.

Thanks in advance.

As additional info, I found out the company is located in the UK and they are called Zunsport. The grilles attach from the front therefore no need to remove the bumper.

You can very easily (and inexpensively ~ $30) make a set yourself w/ wire mesh (ebay, home improvement stores, etc.). For cleanest looking installation, yes you need to remove the bumper but there are kits which attach from front side. It's a good idea to remove front bumper occasionally anyhow to clean out radiators /condensers. You'd be amazed at how much debris accumulates in there inhibiting effective cooling.

You had me thinking after cleaning out the deposits of rocks, leaves and other organisms sitting inside my bumper, a wired mesh grille would be fantastic addition and should look great. I did some research and found this these guys:

Installing the wired mesh grille kit on a gt3 bumper:

The wire mesh grille kit for 997, 997S:

You might want to confirm that the kit is for the 997S and not the 997 GT3 as the pictures are for the GT3. Watching the video, it looks even simple enough to put on as a Do It Yourself project, provided you have the correct tools and some garage space to work in. Hope that helps you, and if you ever get around to doing it please post your experiences and some pics! I'm thinking about the kit myself but I'm still in debate as to whether I will turn my C2S into a track project car or buy another car for that purpose.

All the best luck to you friend!

Thanks for that suggestion, I'm after some myself.
