996 Air conditioning performance

I have a 2004 996 carrera with an aircon problem.

Basically the air coming out of the vents is cool but not cold.

I thought this was down to the system needing re gassing so I had this done.

The performance seemed to improve for a short time but is now under performing again.

Also the AC compressor clutch seems to be engaging/disengaging every 15-20 seconds on tickover.

Has anyone had a similar experience or can shed any light on this matter.

You could have a problem on the aircon clutch, an easy task is to clean it by taking apart the pulley assembly or just wash it by the exterior. I had this same issue on my ML55 leaking oil from steering pump over the aircon clutch but in this case the clutch was not engaging at all!!
