Porsche has always been slow with tequipment parts.

The 986 bras sold by Porsche were made by Colgan. The difference was if you bought it from Porsche it had the Porsche crest on it and cost more. http://www.colgancustom.com/index.shtml

I do not see a 987 on their site. No clue if they will be the supplier for the 987. You might give them a call.

How is the fit? I hate sloppy looking bras. Any close up's of your install?

Wow, nearly $600!. My car is Basalt Black. I presume since your car is red you went with Speed Lingerie? Is their quality fit and finish that much better? I havent been told the price of the OEM from Porsche yet to be able to better evaluate.

Their fit and workmanship is the best. They have mirror mitts as well. Speed Lingerie is more expensive than the bra that Porsche sources here in the US, but it is well worth it. I have had my car up to almost as fast as it will go with the Bra on with no problems. No flapping, marring, etc.

I agree - I've had a Speed Lingerie bra on my 2005 since about two months after I bought it. Duable, atractive, tight fitting - no noise no marring, nothing but compliments. My car is also Basalt Black; I ordered with that color option & got it in 10 days. It may be the same color as the basic black, who could tell? It really shines on the car though.

I had another aftermarket brand prior, but was never happy with the fit - these look like they were made in Uusikaupunki (or Stuttgart, as you prefer).

Send me your address & I'll send you the old one - I don't want it!

Jay
