Dear All,

I have a 997-1 2005 C2S Tiptronic model which I find steering wheel downshifting rather difficult. Over the pass few weeks I have been thinking of adding a paddle shifter kit onto the original steering, since it is just a matter of having a button to send electronic signal possibly using the original buttons on the steering wheel. Now I have been shopping for these shifter, may I ask 1st if any has done this before? Or if anyone knows there might a a shifter kit available for sale which can be modified and attach to the back of my original 1 gen steering wheel.

Thank you

Hi

I fitted a paddle shift steering wheel to my 997.1 C2S.

I purchased it online from FVD Brombacher in Germany, it looks like the current RUF wheel and I had it custom coloured to the tan interior of my car. I use the paddle shift all the time when I drive, I never leave the car in auto anymore. You can also get it with multifunction too.

I also fitted their stage 3 performance upgrade 395hp kit, lowered springs, GT3 brakes, carbon bonnet, carbon mirrors, carbon rear wing, LED front indicators and LED rear tail lights.

The service from FVD was the best I have experienced from a Porsche parts company, and I am on my 7th Porsche.
