Anyone seen this error: TV, Unknown, Unknown, Unknown...

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I am getting the the following error when starting the car, but hit enter and everything is fully functional, with the exception of the navi. The map shows north as pointing south, and will not calculate a trip to or from a location. I suspect that it is the GPS antenna failing, or that the cable running from it is not seated properly into the back of the unit. I am suspecting this also because info shows no satellites.

Any information you might have on this would be appreciated.

  • 3 weeks later...

Update: pulled the unit out and checked the connection to the GPS antenna, then opened the spoiler, replaced the GPS antenna and checked the connection there too. Still no luck.

Navigation takes a long time to start, no satellites are being detected, and will not calculate routes (as it cannot identify it's current location).

Any tips or ideas would be useful.

Me too, I have a wanted listing up for a while now hoping for a Durametric cable. If I don't get one fairly soon, I will run down to my local shop and get a scan done and post the results. To support your idea, if you select AV, when in the past it gave a message saying something like "not present", I am now presented with a blank screen.

I will post whatever I find out - any other ideas, let me know.
