There is now a TSB for 997 Sports Exhaust installation (2/05 2601)

Some info:

With the new sport exhaust the siginal for activating the flaps in the main exhaust mufflers is provided by maps in the DME control module, not the speedo as with previous version.

Vehicles without Sport Chrono will receive a new button in the center console.

Vehicles with Sport Chrono active state is displayed by a lighe emiting in the new button.

SE complete system p/n 997.044.200.01

Muffler p/n left 997.111.611.00 and marking 997/19

Muffler p/n right 997.111.612.00 and marking 997/20

Associated tailpipes left 997.111.981.20, right 997.111.982.20

Time units for complete install:

Anyone know where in the console the switch is mounted? Does the necessary wiring come with the center console switch or is the harness already present? My friendly local Porsche techy states that installation typically takes a full day plus. According to him, "Step one is remove the seat(s), step two is remove the center console, step three is remove the carpeting, step four is remove the rear panels, etc..."
