Does anyone know the layout of the Motronic program and how to update it using a PST2? I just wanted to try to do my own "tune" and couldn't find any instructions on any of the forums. The "tuners" can't be the only ones that can do it.

Thanks,

Mike

I am afraid Mike to touch these programming functions because I got no way to save the original file before I start modifying them...May be it is due to the fact I got a clone and cannot access the hard drive...I am not too good with PC being on a Mac since my first encounter with the computer world...Sorry but I cannot be of any help in this case but if you found anything I am interested to learn!

Also,I was told the PST2 is not made for programming, it is made for modifying basic functions like the amount of time the interior stays on after opening a door etc....But I am clueless on this subject....

A PST2 (or PIWIS) can only install set programs from Porsche - and they are allowed by model, year only and in some cases country.

The "tuners" make a copy and then change the program bit by bit to do what they think is best.. So for all intents they are reverse engineering the Porsche set points and program.
