Yeah you read right...crazy huh??

Anyone have knowledge or recommendations for the best SNOW CHAINS to us for 997.2 Carrera GTS 2 wheel drive with PDK and PSM???

Porsche manual states that ONLY the rear tires can be fitted with snow chains...with bad conditions anticipated is there any way to install snow chains for the front tires?

Bty: For the fall/winter season we changed the rear tires from the summer Pirelli's (305/30/19) to Bridgestone All Season (295/30/19) tires. They don't make all season tires in 305... At least any we could find at the time.

Going skiing and need to make sure we don't do the slippy slide off the mountain.

Oh just in case your wondering?? This GTS is a daily driver Wo over 20k already on the ODO so why not take her to the mountains! We have other nice cars that are garage babies... plus we absolutely love driving the GTS!

Hi there, I have a set of chains for sale that will fit. If you want them they are yours. Here is the link:

I can't move on the price. I paid a fortune for these (the retail on their website was $550 and is now more than that), not to mention expedited shipping...

I'm fairly certain they will fit a 19" rim. They fit my 18" fine, and the company says they are adjustable to fit your size rim, but you may want to send them an email or call them to be certain.

From: http://www.spikes-sp....com/comparison

"Yes, traction bars are linked together with stainless steel links. Links can be moved by hand to other holes in the traction bar to shorten or lengthen the traction elements to fit a range of tires."

These are the sport style.

Please PM me if you are interested, I sent you a PM as well.

I have a Carrera 4 GTS and put winter tires all around. The dealer found Pirelli Sotozero to fit my centerlock wheels. The backs are 295 vs 305s but seem to be working well. Excellent grip in the cold and wet. The are "mountain snowflake" certified as approved traction devices and I wouldn't think of putting chains on. Carreras are snow machines if shod appropriately and shouldn't need chains.
