Swapping PCM 2.1 without phone buttons for 2.1 with phone buttons

Recommended Posts

Just invested in several Nav-TV modules including the Tooki for my new to me 2005 Cayenne S. To my surprise I have a PCM 2.1 with DVD, but do not have the phone buttons which I understand are required for use of the Tooki. My goal would be to upgrade to a PCM 2.1 with phone buttons and need assistance from others that may have done this previously - despite my searches I have only found one other forum member who claims to have simply swapped the pcm out, reconnected rear connections and all worked fine. Thoughts???

Thanks in advance -

Jeremy

Maybe you could try getting the dealer to code/enable the phone module?

Even though it doesn't exist the tooki should respond as a phone?

Might be tricky to make a call though without the buttons.

Won't cost you much to try the coding, Replacing a PCM is a costly exercise. And requires dealer coding.

My PCM had the phone button but no phone module. I installed a Denison and it works just like the factory module, although you get a phone not found error every time you start the car and the audio is crappy, mobridge is better.

Cheers

DS
