Just installed Fabspeed Cat Bypass Pipes

Recommended Posts

Just installed Fabspeed Cat Bypass Pipes on my 99' 996 (Stock mufflers still on). No check engine light and the car is definitely quicker. I can feel more torque and quicker acceleration (hands down no question) and they sound great! Surprisingly they are barely louder than the stock set-up so I am thinking about buying their mufflers. Great fit and finish as well. The install was fairly easy however the 02 sensors were the hard part. Basically have to remove the airbox to get at the plugs, label them and install them in the new pipes in their respective order. Well worth the money in my opinion!

How much time did it take to install, I have been thinking about getting a set myself.

About an hour and a half. Remove airbox, unclip all 4 02 sensors from wiring harness on rear of engine bay (either side if trunk latch), feed wires down through bottom of car, unscrew 4 02 sensors from old pipes, re-install in new pipes and re-run wires up through rear of car to re-connect wires to harness. Very easy job and very noticeable increase in torque and power. They are barely, and I mean barely louder than stock which surprised me. So quiet that I am thinking about getting a set of their mufflers. Take care.
