Dension or MoBridge? Adding BT/music streaming to 04' CS

Recommended Posts

Any advice or strong feelings on which way to go? I have Navigation and Bose Premium w/ fiber optic. Just looking for elegant BT and music streaming solution. Tried a Parrot kit, but wasn't able to find harness for fiber optic.

Thanks!

Neither do a good job streaming over BT. I use Mobridge and also had that when I had the 04. iPods work, great sound clunky interface, the BT works now only if you have the phone buttons on the PCM.

Having said that once you get used to the interface the music sounds good thru the Fiber connection to the Bose. The BT sounds good to people I call with my iPhone.

I have the Dension - works fine with iPod, blue-tooth music from my Android phone, and USB stick. Also works fine as hands-free phone bluetooth. There are some settings Dension doesn't talk a lot about to set the gain on the phone/interface for the mic and the speakers.

Thank you for the input - weighing cost of parts for MoBridge/Denision vs. latest, greatest Jawbone ($120). If I'm gonna spend $500 or more on the CS, as a general rule it is usually for mechanical/maintenance sake. Knowing a valve body change isn't far down the road at 95K miles, I may save my dollars and suffer with a BT earbud and local radio.

Anyone try the Parrot Smart mini? Smartphone BT dock that charges and has built-in duplex speaker phone. Will also spew turn by turn navi directions if you are using smartphone navigation app. Similar price point - $120.
