Boxster Airbag Ecu

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone!

Some trouble got me here

I wanted to ask if someone has a wiring diagram for Airbag Ecu ( what pins have power supply etc) for my Boxster 2004 ..

The airbag light came on and durametric software cannot communicate with ecu it could be the power supply issue or ecu files got damaged...

I would be very appreciated for your help

Thank You!

Thee are fauly codes (diagnostic codes) that should tell you exactly what is wrong with your airbag circuit.

You will need a special tool to read these diagnostic codes: Durametric Software or a Porsche PIWIS tester.

You should find someone (or a shop) with one of tools and report back the fault code(s) here.

Thank you :)

I brought it to porsche specialist and he tried to connect to it with Duramteric software, and I was told that Durametric cant even communicate with it, so no luck there with codes...

I went to other guy as well, we tried Launch and it gave DTC saying power supply problem. Everything leads to ecu itself at the moment: power supply or corrupted file on microcontroller..

That's what I have at the moment and it doesn't look that Im gonna get any more information.... So I just want to check the power supply first.

It is not that simple - in this case you have signal power -- which could also easily set off the airbag!

I would get the car tested by someone with a PST2 or PIWIS tester to verify the airbag control module problem.

It is not an uncommon failure - I have seen at least a half dozen airbag control unit failures. Most in the last 5 years.

Thank you guys for the advice , I will be very carefull with my tester and wont touch any wires im not sure about.
If I didnt have some experience with airbags i wouldnt go near it ..

And after last time when the porsche specialist replaced my control box under the seat, and didnt tell me that the drain was blocked with water still coming onto new box I try to avoid those specialists if possible..

Thanks again for the help!
