I have a 2005 Cayenne S and the Nav thinks it is in the Atlantic Ocean. I get 0 Sat 0D-GPS on the info screen. Also the compass in the dash cluster always reads north. It still tries to navigate, but is several hundred miles off. I have checked the gps connections and they seem fine, but the compass makes me think that the GPS antenna may not be my issue. I believe it is pcm 2.1 as it uses nav DVD located under passenger seat. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

Sounds like your antenna or the fibre between the under seat unit and the PCM . Does the dvd eject ? if so take it out and then reinsert, if not you might have some sort of power issue to the unit or a blown fuse

Yes DVD ejects and nav seems to work fine other than being in the incorrect location due to no sattelites and compass not sensing direction change. I wonder if there is any place where both compass and gps connections are located, and may have both come disconnected. Does anyone know the wiring path of both gps & compass? Perhaps there is a Shared wiring harness somewhere that I may have accidentally caused to disconnect?

Problem solved: It is either a defective gps antenna or the wire running to the antenna went bad.

I had previously tested the connections on the gps antenna under the rear spoiler, and the connections there were good, and the antenna unit was sealed and seemed fine. I purchased an antenna with the Blue FAKRA end on ebay for about $11 to plug into the nav unit under the seat to test. Didn't seem to work at first, but after about 15 minutes of driving it is working just fine. Now that it is working my next task is to run the wiring and mount it the new antenna. Thanks for the help!

Hi all, just purchased a 1961 notchback 1600s, I have never drove a Porsche until the day I purchased this car, got the bug now and i love Porsches more than ever now, the car is in very good shape, but i want to change all the fluids, grease all the parts, and do all the maintenance there is, the oil was so dark when I checked the level and it was all the way to max line of the stick, i would appreciate if you guys can tell me where to buy all the maintenance parts, and where can I buy the shop manual, and what are the things I should do, there is a small leak on the floor from engine very small, but a palm size of oil from transmission on the ground,  thanks guys cheers😁

My front wheel was making a rattling noise for about the last week, and this morning as I drove out of my driveway and turned the wheel, I could hear a loud popping noise coming from my wheel whenever I turned. My best guess is that I drove over a pothole and the control arm / bushing moved out of place. Would this be covered under the OE warranty? Or should I take it to a mechanic?

Hi there, my Cayenne is telling me my driver's side door is open when it is not. This is causing the dome light to stay on. Not sure what the issue is and if can be fixed easily. Any info given is greatly appreciated, thanks!

      Hello everyone,
Does anyone have or know where I may have the bolt torque specs for a 2008 Cayenne Turbo? I need pretty much the specifications for all the bolts and nuts that would be included in a block replacement. I'm getting the back rebuilt by 928 Motorsports and reinstalling with an experienced friend. However, it's nearly impossible to find the specs for these motors. Additionally, if there's a place where I could find a complete 957 workshop manual, could someone please advise? Thank you.
