airbag error, looking for wirering diagramm, Error 1217

Hi there,

the following problem , I get the error message side airbag (see Appendix ) . The normal use for one is to plug the bridge (due to contact problems = high impedance) . That 's what I did , unfortunately without success . It is a blue and a black wire available . Two wires (blue / black) go to the side air bag and two were supposed to go to the control unit. But do not do . When I connect , for example, the black wire under the seat with the meter and measure to the other line of the meter on the plug from the airbag control unit , then it beeps at pin 41 but also at pin 42 (about 1.7 ohms). At first I thought it must be a short circuit between the two wires , so I have also measured on the passenger side (45,46) , here just the same, only here do I measure exactly 1.0 ohms. So something is wrong with the driver's side , so far so good.

What is missing with the color coding of the wires to the plug, because I do not want anpieken all Adrern . Can someone possibly help out with ? There are in the airbag connector cable bundle only two blue wires in place and they do not go to the seat so it must be a different color. The next question is where to go , the wires from the plug ?

At the moment I am faced with a conundrum .

Yes, in the TSB is only decribed how to bridge the plug. This I have also made. Do you have an idea which cablecolor is + and which color is - ?

I have two cable to the airbag (respectively to the triggering unit), one is blue and the other is black. By the plug description

to the airbag triggering unit is indicated e.g. Pin41: Side airbag, driver's (positive) and Pin 42: Side airbag, driver's (negative).

If I knew that I would lay a new cable.
