Driver Door Window not functioning

I recently bought a 2002 Boxster and noticed that the Drivers window does not go down when opening with the external handle.  this is an issue when closing as it hits the roof frame.  It appears to work properly when opening from the inside.  Has anybody seen this before?  I have ordered the Bentley manual to try and figure it out but was hoping someone may have seen this.....

Yes. Do a search for micro switches. I Bought the micro switches from digikey but ended up not needing them as my issue was the switch was not plugged into the micro switch....there's multiple micro switches on the door handle switch and you will need to take off the door panel to get to remove the door switch. I found a few how to's searching with Google.
