986 Bentley manual Sacramento-Roseville Area

Recommended Posts

If any local members in the Roseville-Sacramento area own a 986 Bentley manual (1998 Boxster) that I can borrow over the weekend, I would really appreciate it. Need to trace a possible wiring issue that may be contributing to a P1602

(Terminal 30) and subsequent idle control valve problem.

Thanks in advance,

Paul Ri-Chard

Roseville, California

Not sure what I did wrong to be bullied; anybody can google: "Porsche 996 repair manuals" and the first link is the one I posted. The website doesn't belong to me and I didn't upload any material. Somebody is overzealous.

Cheers

You are not being "bullied" or even singled out.  RennTech does not permit the posting of links to materials of questionable origin which appear to violate intellectual property rights.  That has always been the policy of this site, and is also the reason that more than one repeat offender has been permanently banned from RennTech.  Just because you can Google something, does not mean we will allow it to be linked to this site.

From our Guidelines/Rules, which you agreed to when you joined RennTech:

"Copyrighted material:

Thank you for your replies, and attempted replies. Just asking for a manual to borrow for a few days. I am a former writer and understand copy right  laws. Specifically needing to look at wiring for DME terminal 30 pinouts and leads and supplies. I have a fault code P1602. See my post on hunting idle made worse. Can phone or text me. 916-622-4125.

Any help that doesn't get the forum members and administrators in possible trouble is welcome.

Again,thanks in advance,

Paul Ri-Chard

I am wiring indicators, horn and brights (for flash) to an OMP steering wheel hub with buttons to my 2012 997.2 GTS.  I need the wire diagram of the indicators and brights on the steering column so I know which wires to tap (horn is done already).

Does anyone have this diagram or know where I can find it?

Edit: Looks like i need the wire diagram for these two specific parts,1 and 3 in the embedded image.  3 is the switch would probably be the one I want.  1 is the control unit and would be helpful to have but redundant if I have 3 and I probably need 3 anyway in order to test any wiring done on 1.

      hi!
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for 996 turbo 2001 they are willing to share with me?
My right rear foglight dosen't work, I have measured and there is no 12V, I have ground on the brown cable, but no power on the gray cable..
so I want to find the other connection points to figure out why I don't have 12V on the gray cable..
and yes the fuse is ok :)
      hope someone can help!
      Kenneth
