blown dash speakers

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to replace the dash speakers in my 2000 base Boxster.  It came equipped with the basic stereo system and now the mid-range speakers in the dash are blown out.  I hear people have replaced with aftermarket speakers.  Where can I get these and how much do they cost?

Regards,

Scott

Any decent aftermarket car stereo shop should be able to point you at multiple choices that fit.  You can also look up the Crutchfield audio site where you can type in what car you have and the site will list various options that are known to fit without modifications, as well as other  options that require some specific modifications to fit, as well as retail prices.

$58.85 + freight will get you each new speaker assembly from Porsche, including the grille, the midrange and the tweeter all in one unit.  Plug and play.

This from Gaudin and assumes you have option M490, i.e. dash speakers plus subwoofers in the doors.

Haven't looked up price for Option M441, which is dash speakers only, no amp in trunk, but same applies.
