Drivers side door lock not giving contact?

Recommended Posts

The drivers side door lock on my 957 TT is not giving contact anymore. The mechanical part functions well, the door opens and closes. The problem is when I open the door the interior light does not go on. Porsche service said that I can get locked out.

They advised to replace the Front Door lock part no: 95553101508 together with the door lock rivet 90825801

The question is perhaps it is possible to repair this lock? What to check for.

It sounds like the micro switch. I have not taken apart the cayenne door latch off but if it is similar to the Boxter's which my Audi TT uses, the $7 micro switch goes out causing exactly the same issue. Try giving it a good clean with WD 40

just in case its merely dirt before removing.
