Should my driver window roll down?

Recommended Posts

No.  Quote from your users manual :- Comfort function when unlocking the vehicle

Unlock car with the remote control.

Hold car key in door lock in the unlocking direction

until the windows have reached the

desired position.

Mine is a UK 2003 C2 and mine does this if I hold the button down.  Both windows roll.  It allows the car to cool on a warm day before you get inside.

Precisely. My Nissan Maxima (US spec) has this feature. I thought my C2 had this feature... and was hoping it just needed to be enabled some way.

As opposed to 996, only MY 05 of 997 lacks this feature as well as opening and closing the canvas top with remote control in convertibles. From MY 06 this feature should be active again (ROW)

I think you should be able to code the Comfort features in the door control modules with a PIWIS tester.  On my 2007 Cayman I was able to set the windows to close with the remote when locking, but not open when unlocking.  I did this to prevent false activation.
