Transmission delay/slip V6 3.0 diesel

Recommended Posts

My Cayenne 3.0 V6 diesel was sitting in the garage for around 1 week. I started it and shifted to reverse. I didn't feel like it had engaged so i accelerated and it moved slowly before starting to move normally. It felt like the trans was slightly slipping, but it didn't bang into gear or anything like that once it fully engaged. I tried it over and over again once it was warm but it felt OK. Today after 2 days of sitting there i tried it again but it was normal. I scanned the vehicle but no fault codes were present.

Has anyone had or heard of this problem?

I did a full fluid service - flush and change - about a year ago and while I did notice that my CTT warmed faster in cold weather, it still was very sluggish and slow to shift after sitting over night in the near zero temps we had. After the fluids warmed through however it was good to go.
