Well - it started off as a benign day - just happened to join a group of fellow Viper owners for dyno day... after 10 vipers, well we saved the my GT3 (2005) with just 1700kms (just properly run in) for last ...drum roll... 348 at the wheels. Not sure what the agreed drivertrain loss should be, but more than 32.

Let's just say that as the motor spooled up, the big displacement heads were shocked.

A stock 96-98 will reliably dyno at 410 rwhp, add exhaust it bumps to about 430 rwhp, adding roller rockers (1.7 ratio) gets about 450-465 rwhp.

2000-2002 (only change is cam overlap) is about same, perhaps 5 hp less.

The new 2004 SRT-10 was impressive, it hit 445rwhp bone stock.

Understand, these card are 3400 lbs - but, its does take patience, judgement, and calm nerves to get one of these around mosport.

Just FYI (3.6l vs 8l)!

That doesn't surprise me at all. I've built a 2900 lb 996 C stock club racer with a 3.6L X51. It's a pretty fast car and I expected to have my way with a friend in his new GT3. I couldn't even get close. Those cars scream. Have fun.
