Looking to choose R-SPEC tyres for my GT3.

Recommended Posts

Looking to choose R-SPEC tyres for my GT3.

Only doing club level track days, not full circuit racing or Targa rallies.

Will use my R-specs on a dedicated set of BBS rims, leaving road tires on my standard rims.

Some say the Yokohama A050 is the ultimate and obviously its top dollar.

What do people think is the best “bang for your bucks” value option? including from the following:

-Yokohama AD08 or V105

-Dunlop DZ03G

-Hankook z221

-Kumho V70a

-Toyo R888

Appreciated and regards to all

Pulling the front end on the GT3 to get at a dead horn... found the dust boot on the front strut torn.  Has anyone replaced one of these?  I had a competition suspension set up from Jae Lee at Mirage in San Diego and don't want to mess it up, but need to replace the boot.  Can I just remove the mounting at the top and drop the suspension and replace the boot from the top?  ANy help on this is greatly appreciated!

We are posting this very sincere THANK YOU to all members who have supported our efforts to spread the word about the Light Savers.  The Light Savers have been well received without exception and it makes us very happy to know that we have provided a useful fix for our fellow enthusiasts.  Please continue to spread the word to anyone that might need them and direct them to the products tab on our website www.RennFix.com.  Thank you again everyone and keep an eye out for our next big invention that I believe is the best yet!  ;)

In the new 911 GT3 RS, we are once again breaking down the barrier between sports car and race car. See how Walter Röhrl gets behind the wheel on the racetrack and learn all about the product highlights in this video.

Just purchased a 2008 CTTS and the previous owner is running a staggered set up Front:275/40/20 Rear:315/35/20. The current tyres Goodyear Wrangler F1 need replacement and I would appreciate some suggestions from the members here.

-The 1st and expensive choice: P-Zeros at 1250 Euros
-Continental Contisport SUV: at around the same price
-And a guy at a local store suggested Atturos AZ850 which are at around 630 Euros.

What do you guys think? Any other suggestions??

      Thanks in advance
