2013 Cayenne S Diesel: Crackling noise near front left, next day car goes into limp mode (turbo related)

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I suddenly heard "crackling" noises near the front left wheel when I accelerated.

Today the car went into "limp" mode and was limited to 70km/h.

Drove to Porsche, they just called me up now and said the problem is related to the "left turbo". (they couldn't give me any more info just yet since the main technician wasn't available today)

So, what can I expect in terms of $? Is this is common problem? Is the car ****ed?

(Car has 172k kilometers btw)
