Hello everyone,

I looked through various forums and I apologize if I missed this already but My 2010 Cayenne rear hatch DOES open with the handle but trying to use the key FOB and/or door switch it doesn'tn work .When you try to use them you do hear a noise like it unlatched but doesnt move the hatch up. S othen I just go over and use the habndle on Hatch and it automatically opens. Is it something to do with the locking mechanism not opening up all the way? Please help!

Ok...its official...now the rear hatch won't open as well while using the handle. You hear the actuator making noise. Im assuming the actuator is just shot.

Whenever I hear of an electrical issue with a Cayenne (or any newer Porsche) the first thing I go to is the battery. These are are very sensitive to weak or dying batteries.

If your battery is 4 years old or older I suggest you replace it (even if it's not the problem).
