The fans are pulse width modulated type, which is built into the fan motor and not serviceable.

The fans have a separate control unit, which feeds off the front control unit.  Get a diagnostic check done, and it will probably tell you what is wrong.  They are prone to stones jamming the fan blades, so it might be worth checking that first.

Edit - just saw someone else suggested checking for stones in another thread which you replied to.
