Alarm going off at 10 min. 40 seconds. Load Disconnection?

Recommended Posts

My alarm goes off 10 minutes and 40 seconds after it is set. Upon locking the car with the key fob everything seem normal, no beep, but the alarm goes off every time.

I checked all the door and hood switches, disabled the interior IR sensor, disconnected the aftermarket radio, and checked for evidence of water under the driver seat – No sign of any water or stains, removed and checked all connection points of the Control Unit 996-618-260-07, no corrosions, everything looked like new or near new. The only thing I found that may be related is the “Load Disconnection” which should occur at 10 minutes after setting the alarm, according to the WorkshopManuals found online for the 996. Has anyone experienced this problem before and have any suggestions to fix it?

Welcome to RennTech :welcomeani:

Easiest way to find out what is trigger the alarm is to scan the car with a Porsche specific scan tool like the Durametric system.  The DME stores the last 10 alarm faults in memory.
