My 03' Porsche C4S Ignition Issue

Recommended Posts

All of a sudden, once I put my key in the ignition and put it in the start position 1, the car will start up right away as normal, but sometimes if I turn the key too far to the right, the windshield wipers don't come on, nor do the headlights, or the air conditioner. However, if I slightly turn the key to the left, I will hear a tiny click and everything will come on. Does anybody know what the issue I'm currently having is, and do you know a solution?

Okay, By any chance do you know an alternative way that I could get a new ignition switch, rather than going to the Porsche dealers?

Audi and VW use them.  Amazon was selling them at one point.

Look up the part number on a Porsche dealer site and then google it. Lots of vendors out there with OEM replacement parts/switches etc.
