I'm new to Renntech and hopefully I follow the decorum correctly. If not I apologize. Anyway, I have a 2000 Boxster S. It has been sputtering on take off and gave codes that suggested the MAF was out. I disconnected the MAF wiring and it greatly improved the performance. I ordered a MAF and by the time it came in I believe my car went into Limp Mode. I installed the new MAF and cleaned the throttle body but it still acts like it is in limp mode. I also changed the spark plugs hoping this would help. The only code I'm getting off it now is P1118 and also the codes for missing on cylinders 2 and 3. Is it possible that is simply still in limp mode? If so is there a way for me to reset it?

So I was watching a YouTube video on how to clean my throttle body. It was very thorough except for one thing. It never mentioned anything about the two small tubes that insert into the gasket that connects the plenum to the intake manifolds. I've searched and can find no info on what these tubes are. I snapped one and am not looking forward to trying to run a new one. If I could just leave it off that would be best.

I noticed that the part number for the e-gas throttle body was superseded to a 997 part for the Bosch throttle body. The old part being 99660511501 and new 99760511500.
Are they interchangeable without needing a DME update?

I have a 1999 Boxster with 85k miles on it. Due to some rough idling, I decided to clean out the MAF sensor and the throttle body.
After reading online and in books on how to remove the throtte body, I was successful. However after removing it I noticed a small tube tree that connects to the throttle body. Looking at diagrams online I never see this tube referenced.
Anyone know what this tube is and if it is supposed to connect to something?
