Lost Radio Code - post your request here

Recommended Posts

Sorry if I wasn't clear - I don't have the radio code (I'm not the first owner), and I want to have it on hand before I attempt installation of an iPod cable.

Thanks,

--scott

Anyone still watching this topic? I have a 2002 Boxster base. The radio (CDR-220) works fine, but I'd like to attach an aux/iPod cable and the instructions say to disconnect the power to the head unit during installation. The menu reports serial number 25014726.

Thanks,

--scott

Yes, I understand - we can not get your radio code without your radio serial number - please read the FAQ as requested.

2000 Boxter 2.7

5 Speed

Beige

USA

CDR 220

Type: 4462

Serial: Y5039751

24/99

It has been saying "wait" for a day. Anyway to hack into it to put the code in while it is in "wait" mode

Did you read the FAQ? I think not...

"I get a WAIT in the display - what do I do?

You have to wait 1 hour - with the radio on and ignition switch on (or the car running)."

Your code should be 1321

Thanks, I'll turn the ignition on and give it a shot.

I read the instructions, but don't see a FAQ and don't know where it would be first day on this forum.

CDR-220

Type 4462

Serial 25014726 (Z50147526? It looks like a 2 on the display, and I haven't pulled the radio to check the back)

Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ for how to double check the serial number through the display.

If you think you read it correctly then

Try 1304

2001 Boxster

Model # BE 4462

Serial # 15088358

Many thanks; your time is greatly appreciated.

Try 9520

Thanks Loren that was a good code.

I have a 2001 Boxster with over 219,000 miles on it. I have owned the car since 2005 and perform most of the maintenance myself, this was the first time I have disconnected the battery. Thanks again.
