I had to finally replace the battery on a used 2002 boxster I purchased. Had all the manuals except the battery card. I appreciate any elp you can provide. The information I retrieved is as follows:

CDR-220

Becker 1

Type 4462

Serial 15001263

Worked right away!  Donation happily made.   It is worth noting I just changed immobilizer and ECU/DME (with matching key fob) myself (i.e. not at a shop) so the radio either updates the ECU itself automatically or the code to make the radio work is stored in the radio and not the ECU.  Hope that info helps someone someday.   Best

For MY 2002 and older the radio code can be stored in the DME - but it is not used. The radio code for those years is only used in the radio itself.

In MY2003 (and newer) the code validated up by the radio by the DME.

Had to jump my 2002 Boxster and the radio went to safe mode.. Help is greatly appreciated!

It looks like my screen may have some pixels missing so I'm not completely sure about the las 6 on the serial.. Looks like a 6 but might be something else.

I got a Porsche Boxster 2002 recently and disconnected the radio to try to test an after market radio, and need help with the radio code.

 

Type : CDR 220

Model No : BE 4462

Serial No : Y5047237

I have a 2000 Porsche Boxster and do not have the radio code.  Becker1 Model 4462  Serial Number Y5040398.   Can you help me with a code to unlock the radio?  Thank you for any assistance
