Neither of those codes worked. I may have been wrong about the model number - it reads out R2896 on the display. Would this change the suggested codes, or are they based on the serial number only? Thanks again.

Loren......I have a 98 Boxster with the CDR 210 and will be disconnecting the battery for some work soon. I have not seen any codes for the 210....any help? Thanx

To get the (best guess) code for your CDR-210 we will need the serial number from your radio.

You can get it electronically displayed through the front panel or pull the radio out and read it off the back.

Ha-ha, thank you very much Loren unfortunately those did not work and I used up all my attempts repeating one of them just to make sure, so now I am in "Wait" mode. I'll attempt the +/- 2 variation when I can.

I really think it is a sign I need to just step up and put a new HU and speakers in there, the CD transport mechanism stopped working properly nearly a year ago. :D Cheers.
