Lost Radio Code - post your request here

Loren:  Disconnected battery on my newly acquired 2000 996 cabriolet to work on windshield washer reservoir and my radio, a CR-220 (Becker), thinks I stole it. Serial no. Y5021121. Would you be so kind as to provide the magic security code (I’ve looked everywhere).  Thanks in advance. John

Loren:

Thanks for the code, but it didn’t work. After “code” appeared with numbers above the lower buttons I pressed 43 and the stars went out, but when I presses 6 it did not, then one star appeared and I pressed 2 and it went out, but the radio went to “wait,” where it remains. Is it mad at me?

If it did not work then try again - please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ for the "Wait" message.

If it still does not work then it is likely that the radio was repaired by a 3rd party and the serial number was not reset properly. In those cases Becker may be able to help (for a price).
