Neither one worked.

I just bought a 1990 944 S2. It has an original Porsche CD-2 stereo, but I believe I need the code to make the stereo work. I removed the stereo to look for a code somewhere on the mounting bracket in the dash.....no luck. The stereo has a sticker on top that says "remanufacture unit". Is there any way for me to get the reset code? It would still be tied to the VIN, wouldn't it?

Car VIN: WP0CB294XLN480886

Stereo S/N: PO CD-2 W 09 10272

Then it has another set of numbers beneath it

B 8 09 10272

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Regards,

Ian Rainey

Do you know if this is a Blaupunkt or Beckjer radio?

Also, how many digits in the code?

Are you sure the serial number doesn't start with BP instead of B8?

Not enough digits in the serial number for any of my Blaupunkt decoders.

Thanks for the quick response Loren. I plugged the radio back in and turned it on and it showed "Wait" and didn't allow me to input the code. Anyone know what this means? The wait message never changed

EDIT: NVM... it means the radio has locked me out. I'll try again in an hour
