Park Assist Interference by Front Plate

I just fitted a standard German front plate to my S, dealer tells me that this is responsible for failure of my Park Assist system.

Going by photo's I mounted it as close to a German S as I could get.

Anyone know of this problem or the correct location and mounting arrangement for a German or indeed a UK front plate.

You need two pieces. Item 10 -- Retaining frame (955 701 105 00) with four screws (item 11) 907 981 01 (M6 x 20).

and then you need item 23 Support (955 701 105 00).

Thanks Loren, looks like its 23, pt # 955 701 105 00 I am missing.

When I blew up a factory taken digital (ngfan) I think I can see it now.

Any idea where I might get one in the US or should I just order from europe ?

That part is shown on both US and RoW parts lists so it should be available everywhere. Any dealer can order parts from Europe - delivery can take 3 days to 6 weeks.

Well I got the part (spacer) and that worked. Park Assist shows no errors.

I have no idea WHY it works but it does, thanks again.

Bringing this back up. Looks like I am dealing with a similar issue.

I installed a front bracket and now all of a sudden the Park assist goes haywire everytime I come to a full stop. I removed the bracket to test and no issues at all. What gives? I can see the front plate bracket is triggering a malfunction, but why and what is the fix?

Do you have all the parts mentioned above? Item 23 is what sorted the issue for the other owner.

Its the between the screw head and the surface of the cover. Its expecting the german base plate

I will call Porsche on monday and inquire about #23. Very odd that a spacer would fix such problem.

Looks like the part in this thread is for the earlier Cayenne's. I have an 08, so that part does not apply. The system has been relatively trouble free the last few days. I will follow up with dealer to see what they have to say.
